Take a walk or jog on the beach, build a sand castle, search for shells, or catch the wind and fly a kite. For the hearty ones, climb to the top of the Oak Island Lighthouse.

Take a ride to nearby historic Southport on the Cape Fear River. Enjoy the swings at the waterfront park, tour the Franklin Square Art Gallery, take the ferry to Ft. Fischer to the NC Aquarium or the Civil War Museum.
